Heimrunde

Terms of use

This is a translation for convenience. The German Nutzungsbedingungen are authoritative.

1. Provider and scope

These terms apply to the use of the Heimrunde app in the browser, as an installed web app and as an Android app. The provider is Bochmann Software GmbH, Am Sennehügel 49, 32052 Herford (“we”). Full details are in the legal notice. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. Service

Heimrunde is an app for families and households. It helps plan appointments, shopping, meals, chores and routines together. The features available are those of the current version of the app. We keep developing Heimrunde and may change, add or discontinue features where this is reasonable for you.

We strive for operation with as few interruptions as possible but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, technical faults or events beyond our control may temporarily limit use.

3. Account and household

4. Your content

The content you enter or upload in Heimrunde remains yours. You grant us only the rights we need to provide the app, that is to store, process and sync content across your devices and show it to the members of your household. You are responsible for being allowed to enter the content, in particular photos and data about other people.

5. Acceptable use

Heimrunde is meant for organising private households. In particular, you may not

In case of violations we may remove content and suspend or terminate an account. We take your legitimate interests into account and inform you where possible.

6. Voice input and AI features

Some features, such as voice input, understanding entries and importing recipes, use AI models. Their results may be incomplete or wrong. Check imported entries, in particular quantities, ingredients and allergens as well as appointments, before relying on them. How data is processed is described in the privacy policy. The extent of the AI features may be limited per household.

Heimrunde's core features (calendar, shopping list, meal plan, chores, routines and more) stay free for every household permanently. Whoever needs more voice input and AI support can book a paid plan (Familie or Familie Plus); current prices, quotas and a comparison are on heimrunde.app/en/pricing. A plan applies per household, not per member; you can switch the AI features off in every plan.

Contract conclusion. Whoever manages the household books a plan in the app through the payment processing of Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.). The contract for the paid plan is concluded when the order is completed in Stripe's checkout, which carries a button explicitly marked as placing you under an obligation to pay; the contracting party remains the provider named in section 1, Stripe only processes the payment. Stripe sends invoices and payment receipts by e-mail.

Term and automatic renewal. A paid plan runs monthly or yearly, depending on the chosen billing interval, and renews automatically for the same period unless cancelled in time.

Cancellation. You can cancel a paid plan at any time to the end of the current billing period; there is no minimum term beyond the chosen billing period. Cancellation happens in the app under Settings › “Manage subscription”, which leads directly to managing the subscription; the booked plan stays usable until the end of the paid period, after which Start applies again. Your existing content is unaffected.

Upgrades and downgrades. Switching to a more expensive plan applies immediately, the difference is charged pro rata for the rest of the current period. Switching to a cheaper plan or back to Start applies at the end of the current period. A plan change keeps the current month's quota; the new plan's limits apply from the next period.

Failed payment. If a payment fails, the booked plan stays usable for up to 14 days, capped at the end of the period, while Stripe retries the payment. If no payment succeeds, the paid plan ends and the household returns to Start; content already entered is not lost.

Price changes. If we change the prices of future billing periods of a paid plan, we inform you in good time beforehand in the app or by e-mail; the new prices apply only from the next renewal after a reasonable period to object.

Should we offer further paid features in the future, we will inform you beforehand; they become chargeable only with your explicit consent.

8. Right of withdrawal for paid plans

The following withdrawal notice applies to consumers who book a paid plan.

Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (contact details from section 1 or the legal notice) by a clear statement (e.g. by e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day we received notice of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged fees for such reimbursement.

Early loss of the right of withdrawal. When the household books a paid plan, we obtain your explicit consent, before payment, that we begin performing the contract (unlocking the higher AI quota) before the withdrawal period expires, and your acknowledgement that your right of withdrawal is lost once we have fully performed the contract. If you consented, your right of withdrawal expires as soon as we have fully performed the contract, that is once the higher quota is unlocked; until then it remains available. If you withdraw before performance is complete, you must pay us an amount proportionate to what has been supplied until you communicated the withdrawal, compared with the full coverage of the contract.

Model withdrawal form: to withdraw from the contract, tell us informally, for example by e-mail to the contact details in section 1, stating your name, your account's e-mail address and the date of the order.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for damage from injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. In case of slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations whose fulfilment makes proper use possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may rely, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. Otherwise liability is excluded. As Heimrunde is provided free of charge, the statutory liability privileges for gratuitous services apply in addition. Please do not keep important information exclusively in Heimrunde.

10. Term, termination and deletion

The contract of use runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time by deleting your account, as described under Delete account. We can terminate the contract with four weeks' notice, for example if we discontinue Heimrunde; the right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected. Before discontinuing the service we give you the opportunity to save your content.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms when the app, the law or other circumstances change. We inform you about material changes in good time beforehand in the app or by e-mail. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.

12. Final provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another member state of the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that state remain unaffected. We take part in dispute resolution proceedings before the Universalschlichtungsstelle des Zentrums für Schlichtung e.V.; details are in the legal notice. Should a provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
