Delete account

You can delete your account for Heimrunde, an app by Bochmann Software GmbH, at any time: directly in the app or, if you no longer use the app, by e-mail. The app in the browser and the Android app use the same account, so the deletion applies to both.

Delete individual data

You do not have to delete your whole account to get rid of individual data.

• Entries in the app: tap an entry on the shopping list or in the meal plan and choose “Remove”, tap a photo and choose “Delete photo” or “Remove photo”, tap an appointment and choose “Delete”. This takes effect immediately for everyone in the household.
• Leave a household without deleting your account: under “Settings”, tap “Household” and then “Leave household”. Your chores, lists and appointments stay there for the others.
• Remove Google sign-in: under “Settings”, tap “Account” and then, next to “Ways to sign in”, “Disconnect Google”, once you have set up a password.
• Other data: write to [email protected] and tell us what should be deleted.

What you delete yourself in the app is gone immediately. For a request by e-mail, we confirm receipt and delete the data named within 30 days. Server logs are gone after 30 days at the latest, backups when they are overwritten in the regular cycle.

Delete in the app

1. Sign in to Heimrunde, in the browser or in the Android app.
2. Tap the three dots at the top and then “Settings”.
3. In the “Account” card, tap “Delete account”.
4. The page lists every household you belong to and what happens to it. If you are the only administrator of a household with other members, choose “Hand over” and the new administrator, or “Delete household”.
5. Tap “Delete account …” and confirm with “Delete for good”.

The account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on all devices. This cannot be undone.

What happens to your households:

• The household has other members: you leave it, it remains for the others.
• You are its only administrator: you hand it over to another member, or the household is deleted for everyone.
• You are the only member: the household is deleted with all its content and pictures.

Delete a child's account

A child whose account is connected with a parent does not delete the account itself. A parent does it:

1. Under "Settings", tap "Children and safety".
2. At the child, tap "Delete account" and confirm with "Delete for good".

The child's account is deleted straight away, as described above. The child's households continue for the others, and further parents of the child get a notification. If the child manages a household alone, the management goes to another member first.

Request deletion without the app

You do not have to install the app again to have your account deleted.

1. Write from your account's e-mail address to [email protected] with the subject “Heimrunde: Delete account”.
2. If you sign in with Google, state the e-mail address of your Google account.
3. If you are the only administrator of a household with other members, tell us whom to hand it over to or whether it should be deleted. If you do not say, we ask.

We confirm receipt, check that the request comes from you, and delete your account within 30 days. You receive a confirmation once the deletion is done.

What is deleted

• your account with e-mail address, name, password hash, two-factor sign-in and the connection to Google,
• your sign-in sessions on all devices and your devices' push subscriptions,
• your notifications and personal settings, for example quiet hours, the morning summary and your choice about the AI features,
• your membership in all households,
• households in which you are the only member or which you have deleted, with all their content and pictures.

What is kept

• Content you created in a household that continues, for example shopping list entries, dishes, photos or appointments, stays with that household. The person with your name remains there without a link to your account. If you want such content deleted as well, delete it in the app beforehand or say so in your request.
• An entry in the security log records that an account was deleted. It contains no content of your household.
• Server logs are deleted after 30 days at the latest, backups when they are overwritten in the regular cycle.
• Data we must retain due to legal obligations is deleted when the respective period ends.
